#LosAngeles-based #guitarist Fabiano do Nascimento can trace his #musical lineage to his grandfather, Ladário Teixeira, who became a professional #saxophone player in #Brazil in the 1920s! His innovative and evocative playing and compositions, attracting to his side the likes of Mia Doi Todd, Airto Moreira and Aloe Blacc. Nascimento features the exquisite saxophonist Sam Gendel in nearly all his performances, and on their heartfelt duo album, Sul. Drummer/percussionist Tiki Pasillas will join Nascimento and Gendel at Bluewhale.
